10 Jul More Than a Diploma. A Complete Osteopathic Education.
Did you know that the one-year Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) at the National Academy of Osteopathy (NAO) includes 2,260 hours of education? This comprehensive full-time program provides more instructional hours than many osteopathy programs offered in Canada.
While many osteopathy programs are delivered on a part-time basis over three to four years and may include fewer than 1,500 hours of education, NAO’s DOMP is completed full-time in just one year with a total of 2,260 educational hours.
Graduates of the NAO DOMP program are eligible to join associations that are recognized by major Canadian health insurers, including Canada Life, Manulife, Sun Life, Green Shield Canada, and others, subject to each association’s membership requirements and the policies of individual insurers.
NAO is the copyright holder of the DOMP title, as well as the ROMP (Registered Osteopathic Manual Practitioner) title, which is awarded by the American Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (AAOMP). The ROMP designation awarded by the American Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners is required for practitioners seeking GEHA licensure in the United States. NAO graduates are eligible for ROMP title and eligible to practice in all 50 states.
