NAO Graduates Eligible for ROMP Title and Fast-Track PhD Opportunity

National Academy of Osteopathy graduates can join the American Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners and receive the Registered Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (ROMP) title, making them eligible for the GEHA license to practice in all 50 states.

Those who wish to use the title “Dr” in the United States and have an expanded scope of practice can enroll in the PhD in Osteopathic Clinical Sciences program at National University of Medical Sciences (USA), which is also accepted by almost all health insurers in Canada.

This 4 years PhD program is 1 to 2 years online for NAO graduates and other health professionals, depending on their prior health education.

Please note that NUMSS (USA) tuition will increase soon. Those interested may wish to register in March 2026 to benefit from the current tuition of US$4,250 per semester (US$8,500 per year).
